What can you find this year 2021 in Verona?

Currently, between May and September, different operas, ballets or concerts are held at Arena di Verona that do not disappoint anyone. The most important operas are Aida, Nabucco, Turandot, La Traviata and Cavalleria Rusticana/Pagliacci.

As notable events, two annual performances by one of the best dancers of the moment, Roberto Bolle and the famous Placido Domingo concert in this wonderful venue, also usually take place. We will also enjoy the unprecedented performance of the tenor Jonnas Kaufmann.

The premises of the Verona Amphitheater

Arena di Verona is a Roman amphitheater that is located in the beautiful city of Verona, in Italy, famous for hosting every year, during the summer months, the best of opera, ballets and concerts. It is one of the best preserved Roman amphitheaters and looks like the majestic Roman Colosseum in Rome. For this reason, it is a great space for concerts and events.

Arena di Verona was built in 30 A.D. and there were events and games, also called “ludii”, with a capacity of around 30,000 people. Although Arena di Verona amphitheater was originally made of white and pink limestone, due to an earthquake in the year 1,117 and it had to be rebuilt during the Renaissance.

Since 1913 Arena di Verona celebrates the Summer Festival year after year with a incredible acoustic and beauty emplacement, make every opera, ballet or concert something out of the ordinary, something that must be lived once in a lifetime at least.
