The plot focuses on the princess Turandot, in China. She refuses to be seduced by any man, playing with the life of her suitors by demanding that they answer three riddles if they want to marry her. If they answer incorrectly, it’s their death. However, prince Calaf can answer the three riddles correctly and, after some struggle, wins Turandot’s heart, bringing the princess closer to real love.
